In the summertime, there are many things to do on PEI. Pick your favourite activity from a wide selection on the government tourism website. Lateley, it seems the theme is to call things experiences. That brings about a different concept. Instead of just doing something, you can have an experience!
For example, you can experience a breathtaking sunset:

Experience PEI
There is a group that specializes in experiences. They have selected two dozen packages from painting to clam digging to candle making and learning how to sail.
Authentic PEI Experiences
The tourism website also features what used to be called “once in a lifetime experiences” but now more aptly named authentic PEI experiences. On the website, you can search by date to see what activities are available. Here are a few that caught my attention:
Tranquility Cove Adventures features 4 fishing tours, one of which is all you can eat lobster. Only available in May and June while the lobster season is open, this adventure if for the serious lobster lover priced at $90.
GPS Adventure Quest, also called Geocaching, is a different way to explore the PEI landscape. For $75, you will be supplied with a GPS and some treasures to locate.
For the more frugal experience hunters, we can find
Step Back in Time where for $50 you can see how life was 150 years ago on the farm. Do your chores, practice spinning and weaving and cook something to eat the old fashioned way.
Scrapbooking Hats’n Hospitalitea where for only $30 per person you can enjoy a walk through flower gardens, savour tea and scones and make your own scrapbooking souvenir to take home.
Spend enough time exploring the options and you will find something to do on PEI that you will call an experience: creating lasting memories.
Do you have any unique experiences to share?

Thoughts on genealogy?? My great grandparents were born on PEI –McLeod. ANd that is about all I know.
Wow! The MacLeod clan is big; you will certainly need a bit more information to begin any kind of search. Check with other elders in the family and see if they remember anything.
