There is something majestic about a sailing ship. In 2009, 7 tall ships raced around the Island. That was a highlight despite the little glitches like not having GPS so we could tell where they were at any given time.
Every year, several tall ships visit PEI although i cannot seem to find a schedule anywhere. Please, if you have information on tall ships, I’d love to pass it along.
You can take a cruise on a tall ship for $2000 to $3000. Unfortunately, that is a little out of my price range.
It is also rumoured that the Sherman Zwicker, sister ship of the Bluenose is looking for a new home…and PEI might be one of the options. If would be nice to have a world class schooner cared for in Prince Edward Island.
