There is nothing quite as majestic as an Eagle flying high, circling for food. You can tell this is an Eagle because of the straight wing.
Eagles are quite common here and you can see this reflected in attraction names like Eagle’s Glen and Eagle’s view.
You can also see Eagle SHELVES as I like to call them on some old hydro poles or atop existing ones. These are apparently intentionally placed there to keep eagles form nesting on real power poles.
Eagles are often the subject of study on PEI. It seems everyone is concerned about the fate of the bald eagle in particulra.
I also study eagles because I have a chihuahua. When I see Eagles soaring about I do not let my little dog outside for fear he may become its next meal. I saw an eagle swoop down into a field and pick up a shrieking mouse or rat. I saw it struggling in its claws as the Eagle carried it far away for a feast. I do not relish the same fate for my pet.
So if you hgave a small pet – Look up!
