Note that I said Parking, not CAMPING.
Except for when we stay with friends or family, we park our PEI TO HAIDA GWAII mobile in Walmart. We park there. We don’t take out the levellers, the lawn chairs and the pull outs. Although we have seen a few that do, most park inconspicuously at the back of the lot. We also leave a customary 5-6 parking stall space between campers for privacy.
Last night, we pulled into walmart close to the FALLS only to find NO OVERNIGHT PARKING signs. Ok, lets go 3km to the next one. Same signage there also. So I went inside to ask the manager. He said they used to allow overnight until some jerk emptied his waste tanks in the dumpster and ruined it for everybody.
It is also beyond me how they might have done that as this stuff does not flow uphill.
So off we went to Welland and found an available walmart with good internet. All the ones we have visited so far have free wifi so that makes it easier to stay connected.
